Title: Hdd Upgrade Trouble

You may try booting from a flash drive if your PC has that option.

This is why I keep an old PC around. Just for Xboxhdm.

I should mention that the DVD Drives are both SATA as well.  I wonder if it may help if I only had PATA devices connected.

How would it help if I booted from a flash drive?  Same idea (no SATA devices connected)?

EDIT: Remembered where I could find a PATA DVD Drive.  Powered it and the HDD from the Xbox, connected the ATA cable to the PC, powered the PC up.  Still lists HDD as device 4, even with only two PATA devices connected.  The MoBo is a Gigabyte EP45-UD3R, if that helps.  Thanks for reading.
