What program did you try the master password with? Was it all caps? TEAMASSEMBLY XBOXSCENE?

in atapwd did you type both of those as one password or 2 then did you put spaces behind them? Tell us how you used atapwd. And I think I have used atapwd to erase the drives and a side effect of that was that it forced a unlock.

In the MHDD forum HDDGURU, there is a thread "Unlocking ATA Password for Western Digital". Page 2 onwards has a script for MHDD 4.5. Page 3 has a post on how to enter hex passwords and how to find the master password at offset 158 in 22.bin. offset 137 seems to be user password.

Use a floppy disc instead.

Connect hd as primary master. Use a bootable floppy instead w/ ATAPWD.EXE on it. Boot from the floppy and launch ATAPWD.EXE, select the WD drive and press erase, enter password:WDCWDCWDCWDCWDCWDCWDCWDCWDCWDCWD
after 30 minutes or so press F5 and drive will be unlocked.

or

Try this. It cost's more the bigger the hd.  I unlocked 1 xbox drive with it awhile back.
Its gonna cost like $55 to do all three drives, ouch thats alot. But it does work.
