|
Here are the winners of the first part of the Team Xecuter and Xbox-Scene.com Xecuter 360 Connectivity Kit GiveAway.
These are the (forum) nicknames of the 25 winners: BrutalDeathRaver, Cyrus124, Midget007, pferris, herkulease, zombie13, golgo17, Bi0hazrd, Wireless Geek, MickRick, kopo, Origin, GhostlySnow, TeRm, sensi420, reese, dNh_301, Rusti, fragger, B4tm4n, painkillah1, yungblood20, SO_JAM, Mooner2, jaredlking
If you see your nickname listed above PM me (XanTium) on the forums within 14 days with your full shipping address (that includes name and country - many seem to forget these 2) and I'll prepare the package and ship it to you via registred priority airmail. All prizes will be shipped from within the European Union. Prizes are offered by Team Xecuter.
The winners have been randomly selected. The give away thread has 2562 posts (in guest mode, it's possible registered members or moderator get different post-numbers - I used guest mode so everyone can check). Then I simply used random.org's tool to randomly order numbers between 1-2562 and I took the 25 first in the list as winners.
Get ready for part 2 (another 25 Xecuter 360 Connectivity Kits) coming very soon (next few days)!
Buy Xecuter 360 Connectivity Kit ($25/€25/£17): USA/CAN | Europe | UK | Rest World

Damn no luck at all, o'well maybe the next one.

Hahaha, I found that song on my computer the other day...that was kinda odd to hear it again. To bad I didn't win, but that was nice to create a video so no one can whine and say they were cheated!
-
I knew i forgot to enter something!!
damn, anyone know when the next contest is going to be??
-
I won! Thanks xbox-scene and teamxecuter. You guys rock
-
i didnt win ... oh well. Congrats to the winners
-
u guys cheated, lol, jk, good job
-
WOW havent heard that song in a LONG time. talk about the old days i think 96-98 when i first heard that. anyway cool way of showing the contest wasnt rigged. cause you know people would be bitching.
-
still doesnt make up for the botched slogan contest (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleeping.gif)
-
i didnt win but its all good
-
I was beginning to think it was another "slogan contest." Good thing I was wrong. Congrats to the winners.
Xbox-Scene never did get the new slogan and site redesign. I think they were planning on selling Tshirts too. I wish that wouldn't have gone wrong.

for those interested .. it's indeed and old song ("Daft Punk - Around the World" ), but it's taped during their live show at COACHELLA 2006 (CA, USA)
-
Congrads to all the Winners!
-
hope I win next time round. The only thing I've ever one is some £ on neowin.net in a compo random name selector. Perhaps if I used my new nickname Dessie I would have more luck (none of my friends call me Bucko now ).

Whats that DP-remix????
like said earlier, it's from their live show at CoaChella 2006 (California).
the mix is "steam machine" -> "around the world" -> "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" (altho it's cut before u can really hear anything of that last one)
-
Hey Team Xecuter, how about fixing outstanding bugs in X3 bios before abandoning Xbox1 scene ?
-
Wow would I love to have one of those 360 connectivity kits!
-
congrats winners! Here's to next time

MickRick

Jerk copying my nickname
It's been my nickname since I was a schoolboy. All to do with an old (and I mean old) joke about two Irishmen joining the army Paddy and Mick. The sergeant asks Paddy his name and then beats it into him that his name is Patrick. Mick witnesses this and when asked his name, replies "Mickrick, sur".
And how you figure "Mickrick" is copying "Mickraider", well it just sounds like sour grapes.
Anyway, I won and I'm really, really happy. Thanks XB-S and Team Xecuter

It was meant in just. The similarities of MickRick and MickRaider just took me for a suprise (the capitalization of the M and the R really). I know they're not similar, but merely a coincidence.
And I'm not upset at all especially since you registered before me. My name is merely a combination of my heritage and my alma matter. Just upset because your name got me all excited and had my dreams smashed royally.

Yeah!! Daft Punkn rock dude! nice choice in music! Didnt enter...oh well sevres me right lol
-
flash movie works for me fine. But congratulations to all that have won, that is great.
-
I just happen to check the xbox-scene front page.
Didn't even know about the giveaway.
Glad I happened to look.
Thanks to all involved.
Oh now I remember I did post in the thread, but I'd forgotten
about it. I normally don't win anything.

i'd like to believe there were no cheaters
i truly would
but i need to know how posts from people who posted more that once in the thread were eliminated
that's easy to check for me ... just have to run some simple SQL queries on the database.
-
WOW
First id would like to thank my manager, all me back up dancers and most of all u the people who helped me win this award.
OOOPPPPS
That was my grammy nomination speech
well thanks guys i will put good use with it.
-
So when should we be getting info about delivery, so i can take the day off to play with my new toys?
-
it's progressing well ...
-
It's all shipped (finally) ... should arrive world wide within 2 weeks.
Packages are "signed-for" (expensive but well ... else it'll just get stolen ) ... so if you're not home you'll have to pick it up at your local post office probably.
-
Cheers
-
Mine turned up today in the post.
Thanks.
Now to find out how to use them....off to Team Xecuter.
-
QUOTE(herkulease @ Sep 24 2006, 05:56 AM)
is there anyway to track it? Or was did that option also add to the cost?
well it's tracked internally ... but there's no way to see it online afaik.
Winners in europe will get their package very quick (some already got it) ... to north-america it'll take 1-2 weeks.
-
I got mine today. Thanks again!
-
No sign of mine yet, but as I'm in the UK, I'm not surprised.

Well, I never did get mine. I pm'd a mod about this weeks ago to see if it had been sent out and to what address, got no reply. I suppose I can kiss it's sweet ass goodbye.
-
Any news regarding the winners for the second competition? There were only 25 replies, so does that mean everyone who entered won? I'm really hoping I can finally upgrade my firmware. I still have the first firmware mod that came out for the 360. Probably not the safest solution. :-P Thanks Xbox-scene and Xecuter!!!

I checked on your package today.
It's still listed as not-delivered indeed ... not sure why ... address should be right.
Are you sure the postman didn't leave a note a package is waiting for you in the post office?

That would be a pretty good guess
Will be announced on the news this weekend.

What gives on part 2 of the contest? There are only 25 posts and a couple of people said they had posted 2 videos, but the forum is closed and I can't reply. Is it going to open again?
No it's not gonna re-open.
Contested ended October 28th 2006.
Winners will be all those that did the effort to participate and obey the rules.

i hope everything is okay in my part even though my video was one second over :-/ i still hope i get the kit
i wonder why so little people participated in this one and so many did in the first one

Probably cause people don't want to put in the two seconds of effort. Replying to a thread is much easier than creating a video. Thanks for the replies! I can't wait to hear if I won! :-) I'm not updating my dashboard until i get the new firmware put on.
-
Sorry, i hate to be such a pain in the... but I'm kinda curious about the outcome? I know, I'm being impatient, but I can't do my dashboard update and play Gears of War online until I update my firmware. Thanks Xbox-scene and Xecuter! You guys are awesome! This is my favorite site ever.
-
I would never pay for a kit, but getting one free is nice. It means when I get the drives alone to mod, I won't have to open up my Xbox 360 just to power the drive.
-
Whats the major differences between the Connectivity Kit v1 and v2? Since I haven't heard whether I won or not yet, I figured it might be wortwhile to spend the $55 for a v2 connectivity kit. Do you have to open your box with v2? Is there a tutorial on how to flash your firmware with each of the connectivity kits?

The only difference between the connectivity kits (afaik) is that the second version has a ring of leds and has a power switch so you can turn it on and off. I don't even think it can be purchased separately. It comes with the X360USB. This can be used to flash Hitachi drives using USB. It can't be used to flash Samsung drives right now.
There is a tutorial for flashing a Hitachi using the X360. Adamscybot wrote it.
