Title: Map Ps3 As Network Drive
Post by: rova on February 15, 2008, 04:48:00 PM

Hi,

I am thinking of getting a ps3 but cannot work out whether it is possible to map the storage of the ps3 to drives from a mac or windows machine while the ps3 is running the xmb UI (not linux). Has anybody had any experience with this?

I ask because I want to setup the ps3 as a media hub for my mum and dad, but I dont want them to have to jump into linux to get content onto it. Since they both have laptops which are not always on using DNLA doesn't make a whole lot of sense either.

You can stream music and film to the ps3 from a PC. Or use a cd/dvd or a USB. Nothing else... yet anyway
