Title: Ps3 Strange Fault Take A Look Guys

ok ps3 has gone faulty its the 60GB version

laser died replaced laser and worked fine.

but now it wont accept disks no motor movement nothing at all ?
i have tried the drive in another 60GB ps3 and it accepts disks and spins up fine ?

could it be something on the motherboard ?

any help appreciated guys

Check the Main Laser cable from the Motherboard to the Drive itself.  You may have a bad connection at the motherboard clip.  Or a bad cable.  Take the cable from the other PS3 you tried the drive on. If it works then that is your problem.

Also, did you check the BD-ROM Driver board?  It may have a bad Disc motor IC.
