ahh.. ps3 looks pretty much like the ps2, much nicer than the 360.. the 360 looks like a booring computer, not at all as nicely crafted.
You must be kidding, all those fragile, cheap ass ribbon cables. The PS2 was designed around cheap.

uhm, don't wanna get in to some war now, but ribbon cables are hardly cheap. The consoles are produced to never be opened, so it doesn't matter if they are hard to disassemble.. The fact that they do use ribbon cable just shows the fact that they have made everything as small as possible. Check out the cooling though, thats some high class cooling.

I like how they put the Vram on the actual GPU circuit board.
Yeh thats something I rekon M$ should do, to help stop these RAM overheating problems with the 360.
I hate those stupid ribbon cables. The 360 was deisgned so much better. But yeh they were desinged NOT to be opened, so it wouldnt really matter.
I cant wait to pull my PS3 apart, it arrives on wednesday! Expect a lot more pictures when I pull mine apart lol

I'm still having a really hard time understanding these comments. On what base was the 360 "better designed"?
The ps3 clearly has a better cooling solution.
It has internal PSU.
It is much more space efficient (on the inside, there is no unused space).
And what is the problem with ribbon cables? They are very compact and use very small connectors.
Other facts as the rumbleless controller and high price point is a whole other issue, and the rumble less controllers are just stupid. I just think the hardware design is very compact nice.
I might even consider buying one when it comes to europe next year
