Is there any way to change the PS3s region?

as far as i know at the moment there isnt a way to change the ps3's region. the only reason you would need to do this is to play BD or DVD movies as the games are region free. My bet will be on good old faithful datel to bring out a factory pressed disc which will do the job

I have a JAP PS3.
I'm damm afraid because Games region are predicted and soon a game that's playable only in JAP or USA PS3 can come out.

Don't know if I change my PS3 for an USA or wait...
