Title: Game Saves For Ps3
Post by: Shaw237 on February 19, 2007, 08:30:00 PM
I just bought MVP07 for ps2 and I am using it on my ps3. Does any one know if it is possible to download game saves (specifically a roster update) online and transfer them to your ps3. (I have done this on my old xbox) If yes, how can I do so?

easiest way would be to buy a ps2 memory adapter for your ps3

Just a word of warning...

I use a Codebreaker for saves and cheats on PS2, and cheating on PS3.  With the codebreaker (and probably every other similar utility) you cannot transfer saves on the PS3.  The routines for accessing the USB ports must be different somehow is all I can guess.

What I do is transfer the save onto a PS2 memory card using the Codebreaker disc in my PS2, and then use the memory card adapter on the PS3 to get the save onto my PS3.  It gets the job done.

To transfer saves onto the PS3 I use a usb flash drive. Create a folder named "PS3", then in that folder create another folder named "SAVEDATA". Put your save file into that folder (save file will be named something like "BCUS98107_PROFILE"), then plug your storage device into the PS3, go to GAME>SAVE DATA UTILITY. Your storage device should be shown, open it, your copied save file should show, hit triangle, choose "copy".
