looks like it should be alright...

im curious what steps you are taking with this drive..

are you setting it up stock with HDM, then installing it to where it boots like a normal stock drive, THEN trying to softmod it?

What's exactly are you trying to achieve?

The tutorial you referred to is intended to allow someone to softmod their xbox for the 1st time but you mentioned you are trying to do a hard drive upgrade? Is you xbox already soft modded or hard modded? Because hotswapping doesn't really make sense for a stock hard drive upgrade.

Hes asking what steps you took with your softmod.. this should be really easy to do. If one drive is already modded and working then do this..

1. download xboxhdm..

2. load evo-x and backup your eeprom.bin file

3. ftp your eeprom.bin file over to your pc ..

4. also ftp your files on c:\ drive & any files that are important on the e:\.. ( if your using a softmod im sure it looking for your dash somewhere )

5. burn the linux.iso and build the hdd..

you could also load up that xboxhd and clone your first hdd to the second ...

I've done that, but with no sucess. The xbox turn on, the microsoft logo appears, the led keeps green but the EvolutionX dashboard doens't start and the screen keeps black.

try setting up the HD without the softmod (just stock C and E) and see if you can get into the MS dash that way
