Title: Samsung 605 Ver. A Problem

I have seen a number of Samsung 605 Ver. A drive (w/DX1 Laser) that have the disc read error. I have replacement lasers that are new, but they will not fix these drives....

Has anyone seen had this problem? What was your fix for it?

dunno what you mean by version a, but i have a SDG-605F that has this problem, i haven't tried replacing the laser yet, but i switched it from anothe one that i have and still no dice.
they both have dx1 lasers.

i'm very interested in where this thread goes.
