well i never knew about that massive price but if i had i certianly wouldnt have beleived it. it was obvious that the games would have came out at the same price as 360 ones.
Its the drive thats pushing the price up not the actual media..
Just like if the 360 had came with internal HD-DVD, it would have been stupidly priced.

So, if it becomes a bit higher than $59, don't ding me, but, again, I don't expect it to be $100
There is their escape hatch so-to-speak

http://www.kotaku.co...5999-203213.phpas the title states - surprising - but good news
Yeah you're right. How come they're not show pricing for their "premium titles" the one that are not multiplatform, the ones that everyone will be rushing out to the stroe for, the ones that are ditributed and published by sony, the ones that are full of FMV sequences, the ones that can only ft on "Blu-Ray"? Don't believe the hype, I will when I see pricing for all titles including "Resistance Fall of Man"

They would probably be cheaper cause first parties have less expenses when making games hence MS selling games for $50.

isn't gears @ $69
Whoa, haven't read anything about that. That would be disappointing.

why does the kotaku quote mean nothing? - i think ive misunderstood your post - but the article was refering to the sonystyle website (from what i can remember)
i was meaning that i dont think its still "confirmed" as kotaku says because the fact that the launch dates are so askew....idk ignore me

Activision already said they are selling their ps3 games for $60 about a week ago.
-
QUOTE(mike96sc2 @ Sep 26 2006, 05:43 PM)

I'd suggest this is because Activision hasn't made any exclusives for any consoles in the past generations. Perhaps companies like Konami or Capcom that have been pretty Sony-friendly in the past will be charging the premium. Devil May Cry 4 of MGS 4 I wouldn't surprised to see for $70. If you're selling a game for just one console then you're making less than if you sold for all so you need to make up for it with a premium.
dude thats not how it works......$60. No getting around it.

i heard rumours about gears of war being pricey, but its not, its exactly the same price as every other 360 game.
(to whoever mentioned that, i messed up the quote)

Gears was mentioned as Pricey a few weeks back because Cliffy B swore up and down that it wouldnt cost as much as other 360 titles(60). We assumed from his comments it would cost 50 like 1st party titles. He was wrong, just as were we to assume.
-
That's right... 1st party and 3rd party 360 titles have different price platforms and Gears is priced on the 3rd party platform despite it being a 1st party title.

This is even more surpising!

An article about PS3 games being $60 and possibly as low as $50 for some games.
-
yea so the games maybe $50.....wonder how this will affect the 360? If this is true then why haven't we seen $50 360 games (other than MS games)?
