Title: Super Smash Brother Brawl Problem

I am using the infectus 2 d2c chip, with wiiktus 1.8.  I know the chip is working because other games work, and gamecube games work.

SSBB doesnt work.  I burned with nero, but its not the disk because its working on a friends wii with wiikey.

I am also having a problem with ssbb but mine is strange. It notices the disc as ssbb and lets me press start to play it but then it just goes to a black screen and my controller switches off. any ideas on what i can do? I have a wiid installed by the way.

same with me.  It shows up on the wii menu and lets me select the game.  It launches and goes to a loading screen, and then stops and freezes.

I should have been more specific before.

I heard some wii's have trouble with dual layer disks?

Every wii i have tried my copy in it has worked. Thats 3 ARGONS and 2 Wiikey systems so far. I would expect Wiiktus results to be same as Argon.

I used crappy Memorex DVD+R DL Max 8x disks. Less then $1 each at Future Shop (Canada)
I made copies using both IMGburn and Clone CD
I made copies at 2.4x 4x and 6x speeds
I used a Pioneer 212d SATA burner.

In IMGburn I defined the layer break (2084960) in the settings.

In clonecd i made my own .dvd file.

Cut and paste following two lines into a blank notepad.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl.iso
Layerbreak=2084960

Save notepad file in same folder as your .iso Name the notepad file "Super Smash Bros. Brawl.DVD" and open DVD file you just created with clone cd.


All of my copies work. I have got a read error once but i tried another copy and played it for 2+ hours without a hitch.

I am going to get some verbatim DVD+r DL becuase i am sure these Memorex are horrible but they are working for me.

I haven't updated my wii in a while I'm still on 2.2U do you think that has something to do with the problem??

I tried burning with the break and got a disk verification error at 50%.  This might be the problem, old dual layer burner (one of the first lite ons), and memorex media.

 The wierd thing is the disk works in my friends wii with the wiikey.  Maybe the game will fail at some point.
