Title: Argon Or Infectus And Gamecube

I noticed that the latest version of Argon (1.6) says there is gamecube support.  Has anyone tested this to see if it works?

Also The infectus 2 doesnt mention Gamecube support at all yet in the 1.4 version.  Does anyone know if it actually works or not?

yes i have installed several argon with 1.6 and gamecube is ok on them

after doing some closer reading I have realized that the Infectus 2 firmware for the wii is called the wiiktus.  This firmware is still at 1.4 and doesnt support GC.

The argon is at 1.6 currently, but they are working on a wiiktus 1.6.  Its been about a week and a few days, I hope it comes out soon.  (I have a D2c with the infectus 2)

For this reason, I would recommend anyone who cant decide between the 2, to go with the argon.  It may cost a little more (with the injectus programmer) but the argon firmware updates will always come out sooner.  (this also assumes an update will be needed eventually)

Both Argon and Wiiktus are at firmware 1.8

The longest i think they have taken to port a ARGON firmware over the Infectus(Wiiktus) is a Week.
Both ARGON and Wiiktus Firmware 1.8 were released at same time.

I have over 30 wii's all running  ARGON v1.8 and everything i throw at them works perfectly including all the gamecube backups i tried.

Alot of people have contacted me on my website asking why i havnt started installing D2Pro. My answer is that I have 100% happy customers running ARGON. Since firmware 1.2 all my wii games worked perfect and as of 1.7 gamecube worked perfect too.

Regardless of how much i like ARGON i am going to stock some D2Pro's to make everyone happy. I just had a guy get his chip done by someone else because he thinks SSBB wont work on argon. Like how F'ing stupid is this guy.

to further clarify for those who may read this post in the future:

The Infectus web site currently had Wiiktus 1.4 in the download section.

Newer version are available in the Forums.  Its 1.8 right now.

Super Mario Galaxy has been working perfectly since ARGON v1.2 i think. It certainly works fine now.
I also should mention SSBB is working fine on dual layer. I ran it online in spectator mode and it worked very good. I suck to bad at it to actually play online yet. lol
