Title: Maintenance Mode?

You guys may've heard, if you hold down + and - on the health screen, then press A the Wii will boot into "maintenance mode" (I don't know if doing this will void your warranty, so do so at your own risk).  Does anyone know what it does?

it's equivalent to "safe mode" on your computer.

some console functions are disabled, but there are reports on some consoles becoming un-bricked after running it. http://nintendo-scene.com/718
