Hey x-s,
I just wrote a tutorial on "How to fade your nunchuck LED(s)".
There are way to many pictures (around 35) to post here on xbox-scene (there's a picture limit), but there will be links at the end of this post.

It basically involves programming a 12F629-I/SN PIC and soldering it to the appropriate points.

I guess it's cool if you can turn it off.
I doubt those leds will last very long though

Fading the LEDs actually lengthens their lifespan.
