After I installed my mod chip, I read that Taiyo Yuden media was supposed to be high quality and hardly ever gave DREs so I ordered 100 for like 30 bucks. I had some left over memorex that I used until they arrived and they worked fine with img burn 2x. The Taiyo Yuden's came in the mail today and I have tried like 10 discs and NONE have worked, same settings and files. I've tried burning at 2x, 4x and 8x. Some give the name of the game in the menu, but just give black screens. I know my files are good because they worked on my old media and I made them myself from original discs. Anyone have any ideas or similar experience?

TYs are good. They have the best compatibilty with set top DVD players I have seen. However, there have been some issues with the Wii and/or WiiKey.

What specific Taiyo Yuden discs are they? TYG02s? What store did you buy from? It's possible you got fakes.
