hey, are any of you proud Wii owners able to take some decent caps of the UI for me.  There are plenty about but none at a decent enough resolution to accurately reproduce for a project.

ok, caps = screen capture, rather than a photo - though thanks again for yr pics - very helpful for layout shapes etc .  

I'm trying to accurately reproduce the styles of the objects as well as the layout.  I havent been able to find any caps that are bigger than about 400x which makes it very hard to make out the style of things like buttons and particularly the effect (if any) on channel icons and settings submenu's.

Here's a partial screen of one of the menus i've drawn:  


without decent res caps its very hard to tell if the stylings are accurate or not.  The missus would flip if i spent more money on consoles (just spent about 1500 on gaming stuff) so buying a Wii is out of the question atm .

I'll take some time this weekend and get some 1024x768 vidcaps of various menus so you can get a feel for sizes and menu transitions, etc, and extract still frames from it as well...

Since the file will be large, I can either snail-mail you a CD/DVD, or FTP it to you somewhere.  PM me and let me know.

P.S. also let me know if you have any special requests; i.e. "please toggle through settings screens, please eject and reinsert disc, move or rotate the pointer, etc.)

thanks man!! Mostly just need the transitions for onselect and mouseover, mainmenu and settings subs.  ftp will be a prob (10 meg max here ), can you do dcc?.  Failing that i can get the transitions from debug kit vids already out there, so just good caps of most menus would suffice.

Here's a 60MB video capture from my Wii... I had problems with my homemade sensor bar (and it finally died completely at the end) but hopefully this is enough for your project.
