Title: Gamecube Or Classic Controller

For those that have tried out both the new wii classic controller and the gamecube controller, which one do you prefer to use for the VC games? Whats the advantages/disadvantages to each?

personally i think that the classic controller works much etter than the gc controller, some nes and turbo graphix games don't matter as there isn't that many buttons, but anything higher, use a classic controller, the button setup works 10x better

Thanks for the info. 1 more question, Can the classic controller be used to play gamecube games or do you need the gamecube controller for that?

yea, i like the general setup of the clasic controller better than the gc's
but the clasic isn't reconized at all once GC mode starts, not even in the GC's dash

If you have some GCN controllers then use those, spend the money on games.  Otherwise if you have no controller then buy the classic.

IMO if the GC controllers had the standard diamond layout for the ABXY buttons it would be PERFECT, those controllers are so damned comfortable but it takes me about an hour to get acclimated to the button layout then them I'm screwed up when I go back to other controllers.

it'd be nice if it had a home button too, but I can't fault them for that.

yea, if M$, Nintendo, and Sony planned that far ahead people would wonder why there was buttons that were never used until 5 years later lol
