I beat zelda at 53 hours but thats without doing alot of the side stuff. It is an amazing game and i loved every minuate of it. I just got the surgical game for some reason the name escapes me and im at work. It seems really good much better than red steel which i traded in for it. I am also borrowing my friends excite truck and that is a great game as well. out of what i have played i would say zelda is your best bet.

truama center.

i dont know if there are any titles worth owning yet besides zelda.

ive rented a handful, and got my fill (30 day rentals from bbuster).

i like red steel, but you mentioned you already played it, and i hear its short anyways.. in fact i rented it twice.

ummm... not sure, but you could get some reviews over at gamefaqs... sucks smash bros wasnt a release title :/

I agree with Grander but if youre not fond of Zelda which you stated (as long as youve truly tried all the Zelda games) then youre kinda stuck. Zelda is FANTASTIC but i love the franchise. There are other good games out there (i use good loosely because my 2 examples are very 1 dimensional games but it seems like most Wii games are at this point) like Excitetruck and Elebits but it really all depends on what you like. Give us some more info on games that you enjoy so that we can better advise you.

Get Zelda. It will give you the most fun and the most gameplay. The other games you can just rent and enjoy them for a week.

Id have to say zelda.  I am a manager at blockbuster so i can pretty much rent anything i want.  A lot of the games are cool but get old after a while. The fishing game could have been better. Elebits or whatever is kinda cool but i didnt play it much, not much to it.  Rayman is just a bunch of mini games which are fun, but gets old after the first hour or two. Super swing golf is fun, but not too different then the wii sports version.  Red steel is fun, but does have its issues as well such as graphics, getting used to the gun pointing ect.  It is one ive thought about buying. Call of duty 3 is cool to test out and see how it works with pointing the wiimote and shooting, but for a title like this, its best to keep it to the other systems.

Zelda is alright, it reminds me a lot of the N64 Zeldas... I'm not the biggest fan so I was pretty -meh- about it...

I also bought Red Steel. I really enjoyed that, the controls take a little getting used to but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty fun. It gets really good near the end where you start getting new special moves after each level I think they waited a little too long before introducing some of the more advance techniques so a lot of people get bored with it before you get there.

Replay value on Red Steel is total crap though, I've beaten it, and I'm getting ready to trade it in, I might be worth one more play through but that's it... I can't see very many local multiplayer applications, especially when you consider the learning curve.

I bought Trauma Center for my GF for Christmas, I've played it a bit myself and it's a really fun game... I'm the last person to be even remotely interested in medical/surgical/organic things but I really enjoyed playing the game.

It's nearly identical to the DS version but it's got updated graphics and a few extra levels, so if you've played the DS version it's probably not worth getting, but if not I'd highly recommend it. It's got a rating system for each level so there's a good amount of replay value in going back and replaying specific operations to get a better score. Also being derived from a DS games it's an easy game to just pickup and play for a few minutes and then put it away.

One thing that really pissed me off about Trauma center is that it only supports 480i in fullscreen...  sad.gif  up that's right... I have my Wii on my projector in Widescreen 480p, I was viewing the dashboard in 480p Wide, and as soon as I started the game my projector screen flickered and alerted me that it was now displaying in 640x480 i  dry.gif ... bastards. On a whole though Trauma Center seems to be the Sleeper Hit title of the Wii. Much like Condemned was on the Xbox 360 and Deathrow on the Xbox 1.

Other games that I've heard good things about are Rayman Raving Rabbits, Elebits, and Super Monkey Ball.... I plan on trading in Red Steel for Super Monkeyball, The idea of playing that game with the Wii remote is really cool  happy.gif  I haven't played any of those titles though.

I hear mixed opinions on Excite Truck, depending on who you talk too the game is either total crap or really fun, though I think most people agree it's a fairly shallow game overall.

well...i received madden 07 as a gift today for the wii...and i cant say im impressed... there are way to many controls, the graphics resemble super nintendo, and it takes so much to do so little...   sad.gif

well onto zelda....

I honestly can't recommend purchasing any game aside from Zelda.

As the novelty factor of the Wii is wearing off the system seems a bit dismal to me... can't wait for some better games to come out.

There is no B/S/T here for the Wii but if anyone wants to consider trading something for Excite Truck let me know. Lots of people really like this game but I played it like 2 or 3 times and found it dull. I would trade for Trauma Center, Monkey Ball, Red Steel or that golfing game.

Does Wii's Zelda require you to play any musical instruments?

Make a Mii parade perhaps?  biggrin.gif

Or hook your Wii up to a friends and watch the Mii's intereact!  I guess it is like a small version of the Sims and its free.

As Krmis0n said Excite Truck is probably a good choice as well.  It might not be worth a buy, but apparently it has a ton of unlockable tracks and cars.

Sort of.  You pick up reeds and can summon animals like hawks and your horse.  However, you don't really control them or learn songs like in OoT or WW.

as the wolf you howl controling the pitch with the thumb stick but it isn't really needed for the game just as side stuff for extras.

Thank the powers that be! \o/ At times while playing WW, I wanted to blow my brains out. All I need now is a Wii and Zelda. lol
