Come on someones gotta step up and paint the damn thing, it's just asking for it. If I had one I would def. be painting it already. It wouldnt be the best paint job but it would do . I just want to see someone with a nice painting setup to go crazy with it, like maybe some cool shiny green or nice deep black or red . Hell maybe some airbrushing, idk just throwing out some ideas

Hmmmmm........im seriously considering it......

If I do paint mine, it will be a shiny black. For some bizzare reason this is the first game console ive ever gotten and not had the urge to mod it, or even pull it apart. I kinda like it just the way it is.

And the only reason why im not painting it is if i paint it, ill have to paint over the text under the power and eject buttons, as well as the wii logo.

Mine will be customized soon enough, well my wifes.  She might make me buy my own first but we will see what happens.  Im gonna put a window in it and probly paint it baby blue.

Yeah I'm gonna do it to. I got a project that I'm planning out and as soon as I can get ahold of a wii I'll be painting it and doing a window and the pulseUV mod.

To me, it's the perfect color right now - a nice glossy white. Not like the 360's dull off-white. The only problem I had with the system was that the lights didn't do more, so I took care of that.

First of all painting is really not that hard to do and second paint looks a hell of alot better than decals. Im not trying to diss decals or anything just pointing out that if you want a one off custom look go with paint

Yeah and throw say leds in the wiimote. and put a clear joystick in the nunchuck with some leds. The wii can look really badass.

i went to swap out the leds in my wiimote the other night.

damn triwing.

Anyone paint their Wii yet?

My friend wants me to mod up his Wii. I showed him the install pics and the video of the pulseVU I installed in my Wii..and now he's crazy about it. He's looking for:
-a pulseVU install
-red lightbar (I can simply change out the SMDs with red 0603 ones, correct?
-black paint job.

He said he could have the money in the next 2 weeks (what should I charge him?..I said ~$85ishhhhhh).

Perhaps I'll talk him into a window of some sort.

Should be exciting. Only thing that worries me is the weather. Painting inside isn't very easy..and my father's not to fond of it   So hopefully I'll see some nice, sunny weather soon.

Well i would have mine done by now, but the wii is my wifes and she is not allowing me to touch it just yet im not sure how i want it just yet though.  A window for sure so you can see the cd in there, but not sure on the colors.

looks like decals that small are hard to get a hold of... Any ideas?

Maybe use a transfer on? I think that is the name... they are used in model making for decals. You could just apply that and then apply the paint over it.
