Title: Call Of Duty 3 Melee Close Quarter Combat Attack!
Post by: ILLusions0fGrander on November 21, 2006, 08:11:00 PM
if any of you have played call of duty 3, or have seen the video where you go through a door and there is a nazi that jumps out and tries to grab your gun, which you then have to struggle with until you get your gun back, and finally melee him down after the attack.

This scene, which i had played days earlier on my 360, was no big deal, just go nuts on the analog sticks if i remember.

not today.. here i am trying to relax, and chill in my recliner and it goes down... at first im thinking this should be interesting...

BAM! he grabs me, "turn the controller and wii nuncheck sideways and alternate forward and backward rapidly!"

i freaked out and didnt know what to do, next thing i know im smashed in the face with the stock of my own rifle.

try again, get past that part after 3 or so tries, half windedf, and then you have to hold the controllers like you are grabbing the rifle sideways and almost "slice" it downwards and he pops the nazi in the face with the butt of the gun.

then, he stuttered, and grabbed it again, and i had to do the same thing again, i dont think i did the finishing move correctly, and after the second smack to the head, he just kinda stumbled and fell.

it was pretty tight i have to admit. i decided to write this up after nearly exhausting myself.

---

side note.. the game is fun, and although there is a definite graphics downgrade compared to the 360, its pretty cool. getting used to the aiming controls is probably the hardest thing, but im sure eventually ill be used to it.

other controls are shaking the nuncheck left or right to swap guns, and thats about it as far as wii-mote's extra functions.

worth renting, but i dont think i would buy it... and i definately wouldnt try it on Veteran.
