That is awesome you got to play it. Do you think Sports Arcade will be a good enough add-on title, like The Mario franchise was. I guess what I mean is, will people buy the Wii to play the Sports Arcade? Or, will it lose its fun factor?
You know, I'm not sure. For some, yes. But for others, no. Let me explain:
My dad loves golf, but he never has time to or the weather isn't good. If he enjoys playing gold on the Wii, then just THAT might be enough, and THAT is a bundled game. What about when something like Toger Woods comes out? And the fact that you can play against other people online who are actually moving around like you are I think is a pretty big draw. Also, the games are easy to pick up and play, but I think they are quite difficult to MASTER.
I think for most it will be fun for a long time, but for some it will lose its fun factor pretty quickly. From what I experinced, I felt like I would enjoy playing it for a while. It might not be like a Super Mario, but definitely a title that can move systems and get them into consumers' hands. But you have to admit that, even after a while, Super Mario did get a little reptitive (although it is still fun to play it every once in a while, on Xbox of course

Just curious where in NYC did you see those consoles? Is it in Toys R US at Time Square?
No, actually in the Nintendo World Store, and they had 3 set up. Each one had a copy of Wii Sports and you could play any of the included sports. Tennis, Bowling, Golf, Baseball, Boxing, and maybe another one but I'm not sure.
