You can't flash a 1.6 TSOP. All 1.6s have no TSOP

Hi,

reprogramming the eeprom chip is supposed to work. There do exist 3 different eeprom layout format's. One for 1.0 xbox. One for 1.1 to 1.5 xbox types and one for 1.6 xbox types.

If you reprogram the xbox eeprom, it's unique hddkey will also change. Due to this, the xbox will try to unlock the harddisk with a different password. It will result into a error 6 since the unlock will not succeed.

You could read back the eeprom and compare it's contents with the file you wrote to it. The LiveInfo 3 program for pc is also a good tool to verify eeprom.bin files. You can even just change the region code of the original eeprom with it.

regards.

Use the softmodded hard drive. It'll let you play games from any region on the xbox.
