I have a laptop that had the power plug ripped out along with some tracks. I cleaned up the tracks a bit, got a new plug, and soldered wires directly from the tracks to the pins of the plug...this worked, but it's ugly and messy and unstable...and recently it started going out... so I need to try and figure out a way to make solid conmections. the problem is the points are underneath the plug (but not the board), so I would most likely have to solder a wire to the points first... only the wires didn't prove to be very stable.
anyone here have any ideas what I could use? I tried copper tape, which didn't conduct the electricity very well.
