Title: Xbmc And Gps In Car

Hey I've been exploring using a modded xbox with xbmc and a usb gps reciever in my car.  I've been searching on this topic for a while; however, all of the threads I've found are dead and ~ 2 years old.  Any advancements made in the last couple of years?  Could usb gps work w/ 64mb ram on a linux machine?
