Title: Chkdsk Equivalent For Xbox?
Post by: darrendavid on April 14, 2007, 10:51:00 AM
Hi all-

Been happily running XBMC on my rev6 XBox for the last year or so, but I'm starting to hear some pretty bad clunking sounds from the 200GB drive I swapped in. sad.gif I'm running the Xenium ICE modchip, but there's nothing under the native "Disk Tools" menu that would seem to serve as an analog to "chkdsk". While I realize that it may just be the HD physically failing (probably not enough heat dissipation for that big drive), I'd still like to attempt some data recovery/bad block repair. Are there any disk diagnostic/repair tools available for XBox?

In the absence of any such tools, does anyone know if I can clone my existing drive instead of reverting back to the original 6GB'er and starting over from scratch?

Thanks in advance,
Darren
