Try this in command prompt:

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew

Renew your DHCP in your modem.

Actually, this might sound dumb, but sometimes when I link my DSL box to my comp, I cannot connect unless I power off the modem and power it on again. I doubt this is the problem (and you've probably tried it... but just in case)
