Samsung DVD drive by any chance?

If so the PCB thats on the under side of the drive is probably toast, easy fix is to get a new PCB or new DVD drive.

If thats not the DVD drive, chances are, you could have been getting these errors because the IDE controller on the motherboard that drives both the HDD and DVD drive was failing, and now has got to the point where it no longer works at all, this could very easily be it, almost impossible to fix on your own at home without good knowledge and required equipment, easy fix = new motherboard or new xbox.

Hope this helps.
