I recently did this mod for a friend:

I know both this mod and this relay work since I did the exact same mod with the exact same relay on my own box.
Here is the problem: The DVD Dongle does not work.
Here is the confusion:
Each pin from the mobo connector has continuity to the appropriate pin on the dvd dongle when the xbox is powered off.
With a controller plugged into port 4, the controller works fine. I can hear the relay switch on and off when i plug or unplug the controller from port 4.
Now here's the kicker:
If I'm in XBMC and I go to the system information > hardware window with a controller plugged into port 4, I can see that that controller is in port 4. If it has a headset or mem card attached I can see those too. When i unplug the controller from port 4 and go to the hardware information, it says that an IR Remote is plugged into port 4.
The only thing I can think that would be wrong is that there is some problem with the IR reciever on the dongle. My next step is to wire a controller port to the wires that would go to the dongle and see if a controller will work on that. If this is the case, it would confirm something wrong the with dvd dongle.
If anyone has any idea what could be happening, please let me know, and thanks in advance.
