well infinuim labs looks like they are really following through with there console, they even have a preorder page up on the website, supposedly the console is expected sometime near october. they have a new video up on their page, although it doesn't show the actually console, just computer rendered images. it will have a 3 ghz intel processor and dolby 7.1 surround. it didn't happen to say what amount or ram. 100 gig hdd. no disk drives of any kind. all games will be downloaded via broadband connect. the dashboard interface looks awsome and is built off of the XP embeded kernel.
it has rca jacks in the back as well as usb ports. it also has wireless keyboard/mouse and 1 wireless controller that will come with the system. it really doesn't look all that bad. the only thing i don't like about it is that you have to download the games. you can rent, demo, and buy all your games right through the system.
it supports pc games, and i'm assuming will have a few games of its own. it come preloaded with a few games that will supposedly be good, but i'm doubting that.

And as for the video game console market, it's all or nothing...M$ realized that (which is why they stuck half a billion dollars into the Xbox). The software titles are the niche markets (FPS, sports, etc.)
And what about quality assurance? How about demoing a freaking actual prototype instead of the smoke and mirrors bullshit with the 3D representation pictures? I personally think the console will live up to the name....phantom.

My fuckin gay ass isp wont let me download anymore. i cant see the games being very small and im only alowed 6 gigs down a month or i lose my conection. they busted me first at like 60g gave me a warning then at 120g they cut me off and waited for me to call them so they could bitch and tell me one more time and i off for good

they do mention a few companies, wonder what Nvidia has to say and notice they still dont say who is the manuf of the motherboard. I find it funny that MS couldnt come to an agreement with Nvidia aobut GPUs but this company can? Also I have not heard anything from Nvidia in reference to this chipset... Finally why woudl they use the windows kernal? Linux sems like a more economical solution for me. I still think this is BS
