Title: Mobo Swapin'
Post by: foil25 on January 13, 2007, 02:25:00 PM
Hey guys,

I have a xbox 1.6b and I want to swap the mobo out for a 1.0 to upgrade the ram. Can my existing harddrive transfer directly to the 1.0 board?

Thanx,

you'll have to buy a new Psu and maybe some other stuff because its got different connections.

If you aren't running a chip you will have to unlock the HD then lock it with the 1.0 eeprom.

I have a chip. I just want to add more ram to my system but I've heard you can't do it to a 1.6 board.
