first off, if you look at it directly at the touch screen you cannot see it.
you have to look at it from behind a little.
also the yellow area seems to change places from time to time...
i have a Hori screen protector, but i dont want to waste it if my DS is slightly defected, as i still have 10 days on the reciept to return it...
I've read on IGN and a couple other sites that its fairly common amd not to worry, but its not too common, id llike to exchange it and a clean one.
anyways:

If you can return it, do it. Also check the serial numbers. There is a list of good serial numbers to get. Let me search for it.

thats the thing.. if i return it.. i wont have one for a while.. and my M3 just arrived (holy crap that was fast).
they are really hard to find still, and i got lucky with this one, someone special ordered it and returned it (unopened).
eh.. i will probably just return it.. it really bugs me seeing the yellow tint. but i wonder why its in different spots on different occasions.?

This is the best I could find.

I could have sworn I had seen a list on GBATemp.net.
I think the whites have better luck than the blacks at having a good touch screen.
That is not meant to be racist.
