For those who don't know he had a stroke a couple of nights ago and passed away yesterday evening.
And for those who don't know who Puckett is, he's the former CFer of the Minnesota Twins.
5'8" and quite Pudgy.
There were the four straight 200-hit seasons.

318 Carrer batting average, Among men who went to the plate as many times as Puckett, that's the highest lifetime average by any right-handed hitter since Joe DiMaggio.
2304 Career hits in 12 Seasons, before glaucoma robing him of his sight in one eye forced his retirement.
1,028 hits in his first five seasons. The only two players in history with more were Ichiro (1,130) and Paul Waner (1,057).
10 All-Star teams in a row.
He was an LCS MVP, an All-Star Game MVP and easily could have been a World Series MVP, (He carried the Twins in game 6, and Jack Morris did in Game 7)
6 Gold Gloves
Frankly it's kind of scary when your boyhood heroes start dying. It means you're getting old too fast or they're dying too young.
At this HOF Induction Pucket said, " Don't take life for granted. Because tomorrow isn't promised to any of us. I love all of you all. Live. Love. Laugh. Enjoy Life." Probably best just to leave it at that.

He was a great example of skill WITHOUT controversey (ie. steroids)
He will definately be missed by many.

I felt like screaming today when the headlines on ESPN.com were about Bonds and Steroids. Give Kirby the Headlines today, he deserved em. Hit up ESPN.com and watch some of the videos on him, the interviews with Winfield, Griffey, and theHighs and Lows vid. It's just amazing.
