I think Ford are getting rid of a few thousand jobs in the UK aswell.

In the Uk people are being priced off the road so I can see it getting worse before it gets better regarding job losses in the industry.  Infact the decline of car sales is of there own making,  if they had invested money into green technology a decade ago we could have affordable cars to buy and run today.
