my problem with Kirk was (i say was because James and Lars dont let him play solo's anymore heh) he went overboard with the stupid wah-wah pedal sound. I mean every solo he used to play he was stomping on his crybaby. To me that shows how limited his ability really is.

Lantus I agree. During the black album, and the 90's he overdid it on the crybaby by far.  If you compare his stuff in the 90's with say...I dont know his solo on Hit the Lights back on Kill 'em All, its a MASSIVE regression.  I just don't know why he decided to limit himself so much, but from what I know he was heavily influenced by blues during the 90's which resulted in the simpler bouncier riffs.

Yeah, after a while I get sick of that damn wah pedal.  Makes me almost not want one for myself.  (key word being "almost").

I used to be a fan of Zakk, but his new stuff sucks...I only like his oldies when he really knew how to shred. Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Petrucci, Hammet (who happened to be taught a bit by Joe), Eddie V. Halen, and my idol, Randy Rhodes(never spell his name right), that guy had it all.

Damn I totally forgot about all of Ozzy's guitarists.  I think all of them were good (Rhodes, Jake Lee, Zakk Wylde) and of course Eddie Van Halen.  Who would've thought a guy who couldn't read sheet music could get so far.     Oh BTW Wong Hung Lo I do remember good 'ol Yngwie.  He is certainly up there as well.
