Title: First Real Sig Ever

Well after much reading and trial and error i managed to make a sig for myself without it being a filter-freak (2 filters total i beleive  wink.gif ) please rate and share your ideas on my "first" sig (im a noob  tongue.gif  but i was pretty suprised at what this 2 hour trial outputted)

That's cool man...did you use a brush for the japanese letter or is that made by "hand"?

Could be drawn by "hand" as it matches the one on her forehead, unless thats a common symbol or something.. now I'm rambling.

I personally didn't think it was good, being the first sig i've made and entered.

looks good. the font is small and hard to read though. should have a border.
[
make a new layer for your border
select that layer and press crtl-A
make the settings between 1 and 5(depending on what type of border you want
set to inside
press ok
now you have your border
]
a little tut on how to make simple borders. you might think a basic 1 px border wont help your sig, but the truth is a border makes your sig look so much more clean and professional. you should use a border on every sig that you make.

Nothing stopping you for making 450X125 GFX as well...

fogot something and couldn't edit... anyways, you should duplicate the text layer and do a gausan blur on the bottom text layer.

i like the black border alot more than the red one. another thing you can do to your border is after you make the stroke, add some layer styles like drop shadow, bevel and emboss, gradient, and stroke. if you do decide to add some layer styles, the stroke size should be around 4, i think it looks better.

sometimes it also looks cool if you make your render 50% opacity and put it under the render.

most of the time, the render should go under the border. its messed up on his claws. the "welcome to the zone" could be bigger for easeir reading.
