Title: Funny Textbook Quotes
Post by: G0t M4xx 21 on August 27, 2006, 11:17:00 PM
Here's a couple ones I found in my US Government textbook:
p.19 "The democratic process does not intend to come up with the 'right' or 'best' answers"
well jeez, that explains a lot...
then, on the very next page:
p.20 "Absolute freedom can exist only in a state of anarchy"
well let's do that then!
-From Magruder's "American Covernment," 2003

Lol. What about teacher quotes? I had a teacher that once said (to another class though): "The Treaty of Versailles left Germany on their knees with a bad taste in their mouth."
And when I read the title, I thought you meant Textbook the member

I don't see any of my quotes in here ...
I did find it weird that G0t M4xx was quoting me, as I don't talk to him like I do CattyKid or Vader.
I like this thread
I had a Trig book that was dedicated to his family and I thought "Who wants to be dedicated a trig book?"

Teacher - "What do you think would happen if democrats and republicans both formed one single group?"
Student - "Uhh...Everything would go to hell"
*akward silence*
Teacher - "Uhh...I guess that works.."

LMFAO!!!
Can't believe they have to put disclaimers on stuff like that now... whatever happened to the first amendment?
Once again, another example of our freedoms being dissolved...

Some things just can't be argued. It depends on who you are arguing with, trust me.
