Everytime my mates come over and see something new on my xbox, they ask if i can put in on their xbox's and the only way i know to transfer things is through the network with smartFTP.

Is there a way i can copy stuff from a burned CD or a USB drive to the xbox's hdd ? Its usually small things like skins and roms.

many of the nicer dash's come with a file manager built in. Avalaunch and XBMC just to name a couple....

xbmx has almost everything anyone needs including a nice filebrowser... it even allows xbox to xbox transfers easily

I run it now as my main dashboard.

Unleash x has by far the best ftp in their dash. I cant figure out why people use evox as their dash,  it is so primitive, and hasnt been updated in years.
