A rich man and a poor man engage is small talk while waiting to cross the street around Christmas time.

Poor Man:  Are you finished with your Christmas shopping?

Rich Man:  Yes, I just finished shopping for my wife.

Poor Man:  I just finished shopping for my wife as well.  What did you get yours?

Rich Man:  I got her a diamond ring and a new Mercedes Benz.

Poor Man:  Why did you get her both?

Rich Man:  I figured if she didn’t like the ring she would still be happy returning it in her new Mercedes.

Poor Man:  (Nods in agreement)

Rich Man:  What did you get your wife?

Poor Man:  I got her some slippers and a dildo.

Rich Man:  Why did you get her both of those?

Poor Man:  I figured that if she didn’t like the slippers she could go fuck herself.
