Bought a brand new Xbox just before Christmas. Soft-modded using the Splinter Cell save exploit and everything has been working fine (amazed and really pleased with XBMC).
Tried to swap the HD with a spare Western Digital 80gb hard drive (WD800 I believe, checked for compatibility) using this tutorial and every step went like clockwork including the drive lock.
When I switch on the Xbox I get a service error "6" which I believe means the Xbox cannot unlock the HD, if I unlock the HD with xboxhdm 1.9 I get a service error "5" which I believe means the Xbox cannot lock the HD.
Tried the above three times from scratch last night with no joy.
Very new to this so any & all help to make this work appreciated.
