I know the heat feeling. The last few days have been hot as hell here. Ive gotten sunburned pretty decent riding with the T Tops off my car. I have things I want to do to it, but it's simply too damn warm.

Hay guys i finally got the car down off the blocks and it runs NICE...we got he brakes and all lines that leaked replaced...but noticed another problem but i will be able to fix it soon (looks to be the water pump)....I got the front brakes that work fine but the backs are not opening for me to bleed them so they dont work LOL but i will soon get them goin

It has a nice stance with bigger tire on the back and smalled in the front...

body work is almost done except for the one side (its really bad) i will get fender flares and cover it up...also we removed the entire exhaust system becasue we found it was hitting the Drive Shaft...so there for it has staight pipes... so much fun to ride in...it sounds like a V8 engine (u no the rummbling it makes on idle) it sounds very nice and burns clean....when all body is done ill post more pics...

me and my friend will paint it black or something...any thing would be cool if u guys have ideas on mods paint etc...

PS my dad drove it to see if it was ok...he gave it a little gas man it burned out and just drifted around the corner it wa s fun....

ENJOY the pics

I refueled the car [email protected] litter cnd...i looked for leakes and found nothing....i started the car up and then let it warm up...Oil ok Temp ok Turbo ok...they i checked and pressed the brakes i looked under the car and noticed some fluid under the diff...(this is were the brakes lines are located in a stock setup)...i looked underneath it and noticed rad fluid leaking from the engine...

I hate lifting it off the ground and looking for the problem..its a tight sqweez..so i want to take it to a houst to lift it but school isnt gonna do it till september...so i might have to pay someone....

anyways it to hot to do anything here...

The Turbo Guage might work because I dont think the computer will allow boost while transmission isnt in gear...It does flicker tho, but if it doesnt work ill replace it.

Today I will sand it some more and finish most of the body work

edit:
to be sure that your sander is a DA . make sure that it has a counterweight on the shaft of the sanding weel.

if it dosnt have that counter weight, it will work. just no nearly as well and it may spin up way to fast.

A boost gauge is a boost gauge. They're not car specific in any way.All it does it measure pressure. I have an Autometer boost gauge on my desk in front of me that has been used in 3 different cars. And it worked just fine.

whats going on is your tiers are completely coming off the ground. their gripping/flying off the ground then hitting the pavement at excessive speed causing it to bounce off the ground. most rear wheeled cars do this in reverse when you attempt a burn out. when you get more horses under the hood this will probably stop and you should have a nice smooth burn out. but remember, that shit eats up tiers!

Its been long time.....Im in the process of upgrading my fuel filter and air filter......to fix this problem....

When im doin burn outs it does very nice ones for a good lenght then the engin bogs down...

I go down drive way stop look both ways..floor it and release the clutch and it spins and drifts in the direction i want....BUT i till bog only after i get off the line....

ACCELERATE HARD>>>>TIRES SPIN>>>>smell of burn rubber>>>>i take off>>>the engines bogs down and wont respond to the accelerator (gas pedal)

any help and if the air filter and fuel filter will help me in fixin this...

Generic Fuel Filter/Stock one and K N 3"cone Filter

thanks for the help

Post by: Psykomantis00 on August 15, 2005, 11:34:00 AM
Im going to give you good information... dont drive like that. Apparently your a kid, so you think driving like that is cool, which its not. So dont do burnouts and try to drift because you will wreck eventually and hurt yourself or kill yourself or hurt/kill someone else. Not to mention it waste's gas when you slam the accelerator, and you will need new tires before long, not only are you wasting money, but it is illegal to do things like that and if a cop sees or hears you, you will get a ticket and possibly loose your license for wreckless driving.

as for the fuel problem, fuel filters and pumps arent hard to change, its really simple and not expensive most of the time. I say you need to get new injectors or clean yours. Also when is the last time you did an oil change? Could go all in one and do new tires, injectors, fuel filter and pump, plugs and wires, oil change, tranny fluid change, and check all other fluids, replace all the belts, and you will not only gain experience but also a more reliable car. When is the last time you changed the timing belt?
Title: Here Is My First Car In Progress
Post by: punisherex on August 15, 2005, 11:44:00 AM
Im goin all out on fluids.....Diff Transmission Engine......everyting and the wires plugs everythin

I received this car not to long ago and i dont no when it has been changed (the belt)....

and i no its illegal but i do it anyways...and im carefull...gas is a bitch but wat ya gonna do...

wat i have done to it so far is.....replace battery...MAJOR body work...all new brakes and lines...interior mods and fixing of broken shit.....(im low in cash) so engine mods like portin and replacement of engine devices will be on hold but i have some stuff in the garage i can use (like new plugs and shit like that) anyways i hope this fixes it...and this car is build good so i wont brake it if i drive like that...when it done im goin out to the drag strip and test it out...

sorry for my paragraphin anf grammer and spelling...im in hurry

thanks for reply guys

go with the bosh quad platinum. those are bad ass. and get some of those plastic clip things that keep you wires separated. they make you engine look cleaner, and believe it or not you can actually loose hp by having your plug wires touching each other. they pick up current off each other and rob precious volts.

BTW, have you tried taking off hard with a completely full tank of gas?
if i take a corner hard enough in my formula and i have less than half a tank, my engine will bog because its not getting any gas because it was all against the side of the tank., but i have no problems with above a half a tank.
just a thought.
