Nice car.
As for the stereo, look inside the ciggarette thing, and underneath the driver and passenger side foot cubbies..... I don't know what you call them but it is where the pedals are

I just added an 05 Altima to my garage as well.  Great car.  The VERY first thing I did was remove all emblems/badges from the back of the car.  It looks soo much better without them.  Just use a hair dryer, goo gone, and then wax it.

I want to take that Nissan emblem and put it on a hamburger bun and take a picture.   jester.gif

It's an automatic but from what I understand from a very quick glance through the book, it is designed to also be manually shifted.  I've not taken the time to check further into that though as my 'stang is my true love.  love.gif

New grill and headlight lids are soon to come too.  I like a smooth, clean look and want to get rid of the stock grill.  It looks like a hamburger on a bbq grill. lol

for the stereo:

The plastic part surrounding the stereo more than likely pops out, after which point there would probably be scews mounting it.  The other commonly used alternative is if there is some sort of holes in the outer face of the stereo (ford used to use this) you can get an aplication specific tool that you stick in and it unlocks the stereo (a coat hanger works on fords).

You stated earlier that you wanted to see what mine looked like without the emblems.  Here ya go....much cleaner looking without 'em.

Yeah, definitely beaware of what voids the warranty.

Thats actually whats holding me back from doing any engine mods.

with the warranty bit...  for most upgrades, they can only screw you if the added part could be a direct result in what went wrong.  So adding a stereo wouldnt void powertrain warrently however if u burned out an alternator you would be f'ed.  I would think adding an intake might finish any engine warrenty you might have though...

Looks nice. You say you had a 3.5 or a 2.5?

What year is that?

I've been looking at cars. Test drove a GT, but wasn't impressed with the 4.6L. Think maybe a 5.0 may amuse me. Need to find one though.

It's on 01.  99-04 are all relatively the same...only a few minor changes after 00.  Now would be the time to jump on one.  With the 05's out it is relatively cheap to hook up with an older model.  Mine's only a veeeesix  ph34r.gif  but has a few mods that put it on par with the V7 model (it's a joke...duh  jester.gif )

the early 5.0's isnt bad, especially for the price, and the price of preformance parts. Too bad they are so ugly

Yes the new altima is a nice car should have went with the v6 man I tell ya its so worth it. I crashed my new trailblazer and I have this car as a loaner ( its my best friends)... Boy does it have power. If I would have known this car drove like that I would be driving a nissan instead of a chevy.

My new X:

That's the dealerships photo from autotrader, the acutal paint is a bit dark of a blue(My damn digi camera broke).
The cars my new baby(just like every other new car you get I guess huh.gif ). '04 4X4, plan to do some small exterior mods, brush guard, prolly get some black nerf bars instead of silver, fog lights; and of course interior... I was thinking a single 10'' with some new component speakers would do, and maybe a screen for the front later on(if that happens, my box is going in the car too).

So excited, can't wait to get it smothered in some mud. laugh.gif

Fezz, is that a 2wd '04 F-150 off to the side of the picture? If so, have you been having an trouble with the breaks or it shaking? My dad owns one of those, and he's had to take it into the shop about 6 times, and everytime they return it saying it's been fixed, but the problem comes back. Ford is willing to buy it back, and give him credit for a new Ford, so he's been looking at the '05 4X4 F-250s, beasts of a truck.
Nice Altimas to both you guys, Altima and Fezz.

Very nice look, I like the more casual mods rather then the flashy loud annoying ones. Post some pics once you get the grille in.
