Title: Network Card Broken?
Post by: Mikeeee on November 20, 2005, 02:45:00 PM
Hi,

I'm really sorry if this is just me being stupid and the solution is easy, but it's really starting to kill my brain and i'm having to ask for help as a last resort.

Since moving house a couple of days ago, my xbox is refusing to connect to my router. Evo X dashboard is showing as "No Link" (so, first i'm thinking the network just isnt set up correctly?), but then i realise there's not even any lights for that port on the router.

Am I correct in thinking that even incorrect settings are put in for the network setup, you should still get the light on the router if any sort of connection is detected?

i've tried different cat5 cables and different ports on the router and i'm having no luck. It's definately not a problem with the router because my computers are connected fine to it.

Any advice? new Mobo? or play with the settings a bit more?

p.s. i've tried a fresh format/reinstall and still no luck.
