Well kinda, I went out in a field in my 2000 Honda Civic last night, and learned how to use the E break effectively. I wouldn't ever use it on the highway, I just wanted to learn how to use it in case of emergency. Its pretty neat doing powerslides though. I have to give props to Gotham games now, because thanks to their amazing game, I never once lost control of the car while sliding.
it was pretty neat.
It suprises me how much new drivers (like myself) think that they need to drive really fast, and do all the crazy stunts on the road. If your gonna do it, do it where you wont get hurt!

I'm sure I saw a video of someguy drifting a fwd civic or accord. I think it can be done, but for the most part, it's not done right (maybe) and yes I know what drifting is, it's a whole lot of fun with my rc cars. I have one I drift around my dining room table, It's got a ae-86 shell on it.

well I dont know what you call drifting, but I was getting a nice curve out of it. It was fairly wet out though on a smooth smooth field, and I cant imaging myself doing it again, it was just a (I wonder if it really handles like PGR2) moment, because in an emergency thats what I would assume. amazingly I assumed right

I don't want to sound rude but it is possible to drift a FWD car and it is done all the time. How ever it is faverable to use a RWD car such as the Ae86 or a 240 with sr20 swap. The grass is a good spot to start though givin that it is easier to break the car free then on the Cement. But if this is something you want to do often, then you need to get the right suspension for it with the appropriate tires.

you can get a fwd car to oversteer, but it's not drifting...
you can control the "spin" that would occur, but you can't induce it and control it the same ways you can with rwd.
you can look like you're drifting, and use some of the same techniques, but an fwd car does drift, b/c you can't use the gas to control the rear wheels, which means you "drift/slide" until they grip, instead of like a rwd car where you can control it...
Sliding and drifting aren't the same things.

I only did it the once, it was fun, but its not for me.
besides, 2 of my freinds have been in bad accidents involving 2 rolovers at least (one into a 30 foot ditch at 180 kph.... amazingly not a scratch on em) so it stops me from driving fast

lmao, i used to do that in my neon all the time, but in the snow in a deserted parking lot. that is a hell alot safer then on the highway!!!
but dont get in the habit though, over time u will strech the E-brake cable, your ABS computer will start spitting out errors or you will do what i did, smack a curb and bend your lower control arm, steering nuckle, rim, smash the wheel berring and i think i bent my power steering rack...................
