Yup, if you are caught doing 30 or more over the limit you are going to be arrested as soon as you are pulled over and spend at least one night in jail. You will almost certainly lose your liscense. As for fines. Well. . . . .

Well, it was my best friend's brother's car... my best friend blew a tire at 160 in it... managed not to smash the thing up. His brother didn't even kill him
We went out one night, after the car had been plenty beat up (long story)... the passenger door was wired shut - and did donuts on a tw-lane country asphalt road. Basically, he just turned the wheels slightly and lit it up in place. Smoke, headlights flashing on the trees and the dome light flickering. Very strange experience.
The long story.... the car (not the engine... that was going to be swapped, but at a later time) was sold to some guy who had it for a few weeks. The guy brought it back and told him to keep the money, the car and he'd keep his life. Seems he couldn't control the beast and dropped it in a ditch more than a few times. The engine got moved into a Nova (78 I think). It's a shame, too.... the Monza was a Mirage package, with all the ground effects cladding. The guy who owned it was like a one-man Bo and Luke Duke - always outfoxing the cops on the back roads. The neighboring county had an immediate impoundment order on the vehicle for a while.

It was a bored out 327.... he put the whole thing together himself (He was an awesome mechanic). It could rev to 10k RPM without a hitch, and was definitely NOT street legal - but the car was, for the most part, unassuming. That came in handy when he was street racing.
I wish I had some of the pics taken when he would light that thing up! That was 20 years ago.... cars were a different sort of beast back then.

well around here for fines it would be $125.00 for 25mph over so your at 50mph there then it's $15.00 per mile so 110mph in a 25 = $1,025 ouch
me im only 15 so ive gone 95 riding wit a friend in a 55 (country road)

My Grand National runs 130mph in 1320 feet, thats the quarter mile, takes about 10.5 seconds to run that as well!!
Been 320kmh on the highway flat out, kinda blurry..lol

anyways, I need to try more at driving safer, just last night I was flying down a back road at about 80 and didn't see a turn sign, needless to say it was a 90, and i completely missed the turn, when i saw it I locked my brake up, luckily i ended up down someones driveway, they was really freaky, very lucky there was a driveway there, anways
has anyone else seena video on the net, its a bike pinning the spedometer at 220mph @ 10k rpm and keeps going up to 11k rpm, thats just insane

Around 150 in a '84 S-10 Blazer w/ a 370 horse 350. Still had about 1500 rpm but the tops of doors were pulled about 3" away from the roof and it was getting pretty lite on 112 mph rated tires. It was great for a 1/4 mile but that box didn't cut the air any for a real speed run.

At that time it had built B&M 700R tranny that came out of a cop car a 3:42 gear.

It wasn't ideal but it wasn't stock either. I added some lift bars, sway bars, and shocks. It launched great but cornering left quite a bit to be desired.

then a vauxhall cavalier 2.0 ltr sri chipped polished =138mph
now stuck with a ford mondeo 1.8 turbo diesel "kids taxi" got 110mph out of it so far but it takes 2 years to get there and dont mention the turbo lag
all on dead country lanes around uk

155mph on me mates non restricted hyabusa with a high flow aero dynamics package before i filled my pants and backed off.

last week i was doing about 210mph in my souped up honda civic but it was boring so i pulled the ebrake and did 20 backflips over a cop car and he chased me but my 3 foot double rear wing fell off and killed him and a totaled a school bus so i cruised on home and sold my car on ebay for 67 million and then my friend drove over in his mclaren f1 to give me a ride to school and this lamborghini drove by us going 150.

My friend had a mid-90's Beretta, the stock vehicle has an electrical power cutting circuit that shuts off the gas at 180kph (111mph). Therefore I call BS.

I know nothing about the speed limit system on that particular car, but they are usually quite easy to bypass!

The only rHP mods I have, (Rice Horse Power), are my Probe's wiper arms are red after being stripped of rust and repainted. And I at one point in time I have a small red light where my antenna used to be.
Oh, and there's VRIS indicator LEDs. They don't add performance so I suppose they're rice.
I'm thinknig a Suzuki windshield banner for the Sprint.

I don't know of any car that would stay on two wheels if someone cranked it into a donut at 140, unless you meant km then maybe, but then again I dont know a car that wouldnt powerslide instead of turning if a donut attempt was made that that speed

And that's my issue with that top speed. Even with 1000hp I don't think that car's gearing would allow you to hit 200+ MPH without changing the redline, which none of those mods do. Stock the cars top speed is circa 145MPH. Just VERY unbelievable, since cars thqt have that high a top speed are designed to have it.
And who cares. Acceleration's where it's at, and that car's got most beat hands down. And looks badass to boot. It better be black.

BTW, to stay technical, the LT1/LS1 engine will fit under the hood of a V6 Camaro. Though I believe you need motor mounts and tranny. Either of those engines are quite impressive, even in stock form........

This post, and this may be late news lol I havent posted in awhile, but my brothers mustang has much done, and could easily top out at 170 + on the dyno he was at 160 with more to go, so its possible.

Gearing and rev limiter often create top speeds long before the aerodynamic drag outdoes a car's engine.......

That was coming home from Culvers in Janesville to where i live in Clinton, so i think its 30 miles about, i took the long way home, my friends took the short way home.take I90 out of janesville and did 140 when it was open and around 120 when we had to be around other cars(most people were oing 85-90 that night) then we got on 43 and i gunned it up to 140and left it there for oh, 3 minutes, turned off onto the road i live on, was going 80, and i took the roads my friends would be taking to get to my house, caught up with em before they even got to town, that was fun. And i think they said they were goign 65-75 on the way home (country roads).

Im sorry but you are wrong. My brother got pulled over doing 110 in a 55. All he got was a 200 fine after a court appearance. He wasn't arrested. Im going to have to agree with Joshis1 on this one.

Supra TT and yes modified.. they are limited to 155mph and will do 175mph unregulated stock....

Flew by a cop and when I looked at my speed I was doing 140 and he didnt move. I thought I was so busted. Here in AZ any thing over 20 is a felony speeding ticket. They take you to jail, you car to jail and take your license away.
The only thing I could figurer is by the time he got his car started, and moving at 100+ to get me I was already 10 miles down the road so he didnt bother. Probably thought hed be picking my body peaces up off the road 10 miles later or some thing. Or maybe he figured if I was in that much of a hurry just let me keep going. Oh well, that was a one time deal. Never again.

i also have hit over 190 in a customers porsche when i test drove it to work out the suspension setup
then there is my car a 98 n-body for all of those that dont know thats the gm group consisting of the grand am alero and malibu my car is a malibu with a ton of custom work and a t3/t4 it has around 400 hp on 93 i had it on c16 and i was able to get 546hp out of it my top speed for that is around 140 but it will go faster im just looking to get more rubber and saftey stuff first
now if that doesn't burn up the tires for you i dont know what does thats my main weapon along with my busa
in my garage/shop i have an 02 mitsu eclipse that my girl drives an 03 R1 that i use for stunt shows where it helps to look good my stripped down 01 ninja 250r that i use only for stunt shows and practice my 99 hyabusa kinda my daily rider its the one i ride the most and my daily driver the 98 malibu
im lookin at getting a new car for a daily driver because the malibu sux down gas

Back when I was in college I got my S351 Saleen Mustang up to 155mph, and there was still a little throttle left but I had to slow down for a curve in the highway. I rolled the windows down at about 145 and the air rushing in made my eardrums pop. The ride got smoother the faster I went, and it felt like the car was an inch off the ground, from the down-force.
I sure miss that car. I sold it before I got married. Just the insurance was as much as a car payment.

However, in my 2000 Chevy S10 6cyl. 4.3L, it well...tops out at 97 because of the goddamn chip. Anyone know how to take that damn thing out or adjust it or soemthing. My truck redlines at like 5500 and it will top out before 4000, it pisses me off because i know it can go much faster than 97.

the road ended too.. once u hit about 150km/h it takes forever to gain speed
at that speed yeah the road is very narrow... and i personally find it wayyy to fast.. and it is unsafe.. any old stone could throw you off the road or into a slide

the the pilot said he would get us up to mach 2. and he did.
its good to be in the military sometimes.
and those of you that dont know how fast mach speed is, heres a converter
i'm hopeing to get my inflight troble shooter qual when we get the new EA-18's to replace our shitty EA6B's.

125 mph in a oldsmobile which is hilarious but i wasnt driving ofcourse becasue i cant but it was on the merritt parkway in connecticut and once we were going downhill my stomach got a weird feeling and i was like shit. but everything turned out ok

Yeah, Yeah it was stupid, but hey it was my freshman year in college.. so what better time to go balls out? Damn I miss that girl.

While I was on vacation they had a test track where they let you actually drive Lamborghini Gallardo's. Now I did not actually drive the car I am only 15 but my dad who was in the car with me got it up to about 190 MPH. It was fun as hell. I got to buy me one of them. The speed was great but the acceleration was amazing. In a matter of seconds you were already going a hundered miles an hour. It really throws you back in the seat.
