i thought that all diamler cars were still made by DSM "Diamond Star Motor" including mitsubishi the supra is definately different than the 3000gt and stealth and the deal must have just now ended seeing as though dodge just had to drop the stealth from the line up and make the fucking neon the second fastest car they make |
True DSMs, are only first gen Talon TSIs, Eclipse GSXs, and that damn Galant Vr4 of the early 90s.
I love the 3KGT VR4, but I do think it's a bit heavy. Add to that the inherant drive train losses of any AWD vehichle and it's sadly not as fast as it could be. But a lot of Japanese cars are not as fast as you'd think. Frankly if you go just by quarter mile times, (Not that this is the best way to indicate a car's performance), you don't find as many really fast cars as you expect. A lot of Supras turn into 1000hp dyno queens that couldn't run a race if they had to. It's cooler to brag about hp then a car's performance these days.
Actually if we're gonna talk Jap cars we should throw the FD and GTR in for good measure.
Also, though I fully respect the Lude as a fun car, the 4th gens are still considered the fastest. And I can name V6s that are as fast if not faster stock. Mine for example.
96 honda accord...just got it this month...gonna start hookin it up wit shit so look for it on heree

Thx man. But I've only had the car for 3 weeks, and it came with those rims so cut me some slack

But yah... I've installed my complete audio system already except for soundproofing the trunk. Installed a pager alarm and two toned the interior. Hopefully by the end of the summer it will be dropped 2 inches and have an exhaust. And the color is nice aint it?

Hey, my honest opinion about a cars looks is that it get's back burnered to performance. I'll have to list off the obscene mod list at some point. And yet with all the money I've spent I still have ground effects pieces that are cracked. A trip to the junkyard could easily rememdy this, but I've yet to go..... At the same point, if I were to waste money on rims, I'd expect 3 things; light weight, durable, and not ugly. And I consider those rims kinda ugly. No offense, just my opinion. If you like it that's what's important anyway.
I do like the color. It's not the norm. And I think it makes the car stick out more. And certainly it looks as though the paint has been upkept well.

Nah I'm with u.. the rims are ugly. And if u see them upclose they are curbed and fugly. But I gotta pay off my car, insurance, gas, maintanence and other mods to it...plus im in University... just don't have $1000 kickin around for some rims. Maybe someday though...
And the color is very interesting. It's called Jasper green but it's more of a bluish color as you can see, but there is a tinge of green. I only know of one other Integra with the same color in the Vancouver area so I'm pretty special
Yeah, My Probe is Red. It's kind of boring to have a red, black, or white Probe. But I think red is the lamest. (But I got it for a steal so.....) The only consellation I have is that it's rio red which was used in 93 only. But it would have been cooler to have coral mist, boysenberry, chameleon, sahara gold metallic, or even yellow from factory (Only used in marketting. Never really released) Butmy absolute favorite color is this.......

ahhh
Nice car, your reaction times could use a bit of work though

But great ride. AWD would be SOOO fun in the winter.
)
im not that much into cars.. but this one is my first car that can be respectable
also, how well does a t-bird rate on the line of power? i know its got a v8 in it, but the car itself is pretty heavy, so that may retract from it a lot
It had a scaffolding pole for an Exhaust
I have 2 cars currently :
'00 Ford Puma 1.7i
'02 BMW M5
I soooo hate all you bastards that can get Pumas. I think they are such cool little cars.
I drive a 99 Jeep Wrangler Dark Forrest Green Not driving at the moment cause some shithead hit me and cracked up the hard top took out my bumper back windows and scraped entire side, And Then i got my 97 Jeep Cherokee Classic Black with yellow fog lights tinted windows and out Course a Doors Sublime And Marley Decal As Well As The Black And White G From Gloucester
use to have a 78 El Camino SS, that car was the shit, but the frame was so rusted its about to fall apart, the 350 will live on in my brothers Cutlass however (his 16th birthday present)
i currently has a 87 Thunderbird, 3.8L which i am saving up to put an xbox in, lol
i miss my audi

How is that not a 3rd gen?
I believe that would be what he wants, and that is a very well done import, and not a ricer(as long as the engines not stock, then the owner's just got fucked up priorities)
You see? I'm an idiot. I'm not a big fan of the V8 swaps. The power is nice, but it hurts that weight balance of the car. Got any pics of your car?
Nope I'm not setup to do that. I personally wouldn't do the swap either. I think it's cool that you can do the swap but for me it wouldn't be pratical. Mine is a stock 88 RX-7 GXL and it is burgundy. Not too hard to picture that. No exterior or engine mods. Nice stereo system and that is about it.
I am 12 but when I get old enough to drive a car my parents said they would give me there old ford mustang. or camaro its a nice one ill try to get pics actually I just found them lol.
I get to pick between these two.
Thinking of the chevy ss really nice glad i still got pics of them.
My parents do let me drive even though I am young. she is driving a 1998 nissan maxima. It is pretty fast my dad drives a hummer h2 I have only drove it once cuz every time I drive it we are in the mountains and he expects me to go four wheeling wtf what the hell do I know about four wheelind exept that you put it in 4 wheel drive and go slow up a hill. but anyways ill try to gget a video up soon of me driving and its not illegal for me to drive as long as my parents are drunk that is what my dads friend said he is a cop so he knows lol.
gonna sue my dad when i turn 18 this summer and get 'er back. i moved out, he said gimme the car or i'll call it in stolen. i said fu, he called it in, now it sits in his garage. paid for by child support, so legally its mine, but its in his name. small claims court, here we come! (i'll either get the car or 3k back. heh)

To do:
Swap out 3-cyl 1.0L for 4-cyl 1.3L DOHC from '89-91 Suzuki Swift GTi
Convert transmission from auto to standard
Swap rear axle to have all disc brakes
Stage 1 turbocharger (14 psi!) after engine overhaul and boring
Bodykit, stereo system, interior change, etc.
Want:
'72 Nova SS
Want to do with it:
Either 350ci stroked or 572ci Crate engine (the 620hp/650ft-lbs version, not the 720hp/685ft-lbs version...can you say "Racing Fuel Only"?)
Whatever else needs/wants to be done
F-250 ('95 and earlier, please)
Want to do with it:
Lift it and install an off-road kit (my grandparents have some nice farmland to offroad around)
A friend of mine had a nice setup on his '72 Nova. Stuck a 355ci race engine in it, and had it geared for the quarter-mile.
On a side note: if you notice, some (if not most) of people new to ricing out thier car go for the "kick-ass" sounding exhaust, but forget one big problem...the damn engine has to breathe (they install/have installed a bigger exhaust system, but the intake system is still stock, which fucks with the "balance" the engine needs to "optimally" perform). It's because of this that many of them get smoked on the line...

I drive a 2004 Saturn Ion-3 Quad coupe, not even a week i've had the thing, but it is awesome. I'm a total japanese fan but GM sure built a good 4 cylinder for once, 2.2 ecotec in this puppy rated at 140 hp 145 lb-ft torque. It's got a huge availability for aftermarket parts (Same engine as new cavaliers and sunfires and only slightly different than 2003 saab 9-3's <- turbo will fit in mine!)
5 speed, power everything (not seats tho) coulda done without a/c and cruise but my g/f had to have a say I also own an 87 mazda Rx-7 gxl, that is being totaly redone. Gonna put a new 13b-rew tt motor in it someday, maybe 20b . Wanna put this body kit on too;

I like the RX-7 and I think it would look great with a body kit after you get the performance mods done to it. Then again, I am partial to 2nd Generation RX-7s for some odd reason.

As for an shady and your choice of cars- good luck. Integra type-r's are very difficult to find, and usually expensive as well. Of course, if you do find one and are able to pay for it, I still wouldnt recommend. Im actually a fan of imports (without all the badges and stickers and kits and....), and honda really isnt the greatest. The fastest honda ive been in is my friends 2003 accord v6 coupe. 240 hp with vtec makes for an interesting ride. But in regards to VTEC- yes, its a boost, yes its noticeable, yes its small- it really doesnt do a whole hell of a lot.
So in conclusion, if you can find that kind of money, i suggest you look elsewhere. A 99 eclipse gst is right up your alley i think: turbos are a blast to drive, its availible as a convertable, readily availible, cheap, reliable, and frequently found as a 5-speed. Oh yeah, did i mention fast(er than an integra)? Drive one, you'll love it.
Oh i drive a 96 maxima. I have something called college to spend my money on
2000 Mazda 626 v6 5speed
not that i can drive it quite yet, i do have a 2001 Honda Prelude.

The second car is my El Camino its a cruiser
the Last is a 67 Chevy SS it says Malibu but Malibu and SS are same shit just diffrent motors.
My fastest car I have been in is a ferarri Enzo and a ACR Viper My dads boss has a 2002 ACR Viper its birght ass yellow and goes 210 with a 10 thousand dollar sound system installed its a really nice car the enzo was a guy my dads boss new and gave me a ride.
I have to ask, Why do the "Thugs" (I use the term loosly) always by japanese cars? They are always acting like they are rappers but rappers would never drive a car like a Honda. They always drive caddilacs and old american cars like chevelles.
Oh well i just wanted to know, BTW why waste your money on a Integra or whatever when for way less you could get a faster car that is made of real metal and not plastic. Something like an 70s' Corvette, Chevelle, or Mustang
well im gettin a 1997 Nissan Maxima...not too into racing but with its v6 engine im sure i can spank a fuckin civic or two...hell even the gsr integra, which isnt all that fast to begin with. it has about 190-200 hp. the type-r i doubt ull get since u gotta actually import the bitch 4rm japan and ohhh they dont make it any more. rsx is the new ride over there and here, shady learn a lil sumtin sumtin bout rides b4 u flame a guy tryin to make a joke. integras are just smaller civics, pretty much the same engine since honda has taken over acura and put in its v-tec engine thus downgrading like most of its rides. nissans will forever own honda in every class of car.

thats how i want my car but in black...i can go into specifics but only on request cuz its a pain to type all the shit...oh and ace i wanna talk to you about ur civic im interested in the satalite shit for tailgate parties at football games heh

not really true, i've got a prelude as previously stated, with virtually no mods yet, and i know for sure it can beat mose 6 cylinders un modded
also, most people that get a japanees import to race do mod them, and they are cheap to do so because so many people get them
i remember when i used to make fun of those with the rice, was looking all over for VW actually as i love VW, esp the Corrodo and Scorroco, not to mention the GTI, but was also looking at muscle cars such as the 442 olds, chevelle, etc. actually could have bought a 87 6.0 L 6 speed Trans am, but then for some reason started to like the thoughts of a honda's, and then i found my prelude.

lol thank you so much
there is this rich kid at my school...a year younger than me (I'm grade 12..he's grade 11) but mega mega rich. His parents bought him a white CRX w/body kit, exhaust thing, fin, sweetass sound system. No engine mods or anything (we asked him one day). He is very cocky when he drives and speeds a lot just to make himself look cool... you know the kind of person i mean.
So this one day.. one of my best friends pulls up beside him in his 1989 Tempo (automatic). Its one of those really long lights..and they have time to do the whole rev'n'nod routine. In the CRX is just that kid, all alone. In the Tempo is my buddy, me in shotgun, and 3 other people in the back. The street ahead is clear, straight drag for about a half mile.
The light changed to green and both cars gunned it. The CRX got a great start because its not loaded down, and its standard and we are in an automatic. My friend Matt gunned it.. we keep going and going, seems like we are crawling, but we get to the point where we are going the same speed as the CRX, just behind him. The CRX slowed down a tiny tiny bit, convinced he is going to win. Matt guns the Tempo again, the engine strains, but we shoot ahead in the rusty silver bullet. CRX kid shoulder checked, saw us, and guned it to try and get some speed. Too late, we passed him and shot off into the distance. He tried pathetically to catch up but we were too far ahead. Tempo wins, w00 w00!!
Moral of the story.. If your rich parents buy you a car that looks and sounds cool but really sucks..just accept the fact you have a cool looking car that can't race
1999 Honda Civic SI - if you see me just *HONK*
Yeah no shit. That style of T-Bird may look like a granny car but believe me they can hold thier own in a race. Speaking of which anyone out there got an '87 Buick Grand National? Looks like a granny car but they put a Big turbo in them that pushes 18lbs of BOOST!!!! I know someone with a twin turbo RX-7 that got killed by one of these.

Never bothered with cars...haven't needed one yet

1999 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 Twin Turbo - Burn a HONDA, ACURA, Whatever else you got to throw at it.
I thought they quit making the 3000gt in 1996. I used to love them (Before I could drive) but the design looks so incredibly dated now.

A 10 year old Cannondale
Dimalier Chryslers 'deal' , ended with Mitsubishi in 1998. Meaning no longer could Daimler Chrysler, make copies of mitsubishi vehicles.
i thought that all diamler cars were still made by DSM "Diamond Star Motor" including mitsubishi
the supra is definately different than the 3000gt and stealth
and the deal must have just now ended seeing as though dodge just had to drop the stealth from the line up and make the fucking neon the second fastest car they make
Supra's and 3000gt's are 2 totally diff cars, they are just comparable in many aspects. 2 fastest Japanese Cars made. One made by Mitsu, one by Toyota. And Mitsubishi makes their own cars. Daimler Chrysler is the Main Corporation for the Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth, and owns 50% of Mercedes Corporation.
I love my Chevy's
