A Saleen S7 is out of the question...$400k for the car, $100k of it due up front plus a one year wait.
I wish my friend didn't get rid of his '84 Mercury Grand Marquis GS...I was in line to get it, but he traded it to his uncle for a different car. It had a V8 in it and needed some body work (Dodge Ram t-boned it and left a few dents plus a broken passenger side window), but ran like a damn tank.
Guess I'll just have to rice-ify my '93 Geo Metro (I'm planning to swap in a 1.3L DOHC from an '89 Suzuki Swift GTi + 5sp manual transmission, probably add a stage 1 turbocharger (bringing the hp up to ~250)...but I need to find a damn machine shop in my area to do the engine work. I'm also looking at a body kit, scroll down to Type II kit).

What are you talking about? The only advantage the 300 has over the 240 is the engine, but since he's replacing the engine anyway, it would just be a waste of money and hp (as the 240 is much lighter than the 300).

no, they didn't murder it. If you go to the forums on stangnet you will see that a large majority look forward to seeing this come out and we are all glad ford finally made the changes. Which reminds me they really need to change that bubble hood f150. It sucks ass.
unfortunately, if this mustang doesn't reach their expectations there might be a chance it could be discontinued completely. I think most companies who have made drastic changes such as this haven't been able to pull the car back out of declining sales.
