Title: Soldering?
Post by: Oscar_the_Grouch on August 28, 2005, 04:28:00 AM
Is it possible to have 2 seperate mods at the same time that share 1 or more similar solder points?

i would think so.... as long as the soldering is done well. but you would have to have a switch on the D0 i think, a single pull, tripple throw? middle is off(no mod) up is 1 chip, down is the other chip. try it out, i want to knwo hwo it goes

Yes it is, though I'm not sure of the wiring for some of the more advanced chips. On the old cheapmods you would simply switch which chip got the #Frame signal. On the alladin and related clones you should be able to switch the BT point between chips. As to the Xecutors, Xeniums and other do-everything chips I know you could switch power, but I don't know about the other stuff. -nB

Oh this isn't an xbox, sorry. It's a gabeboy advance sp. The overclock chip and a dimmer chip. They both perform different functions. Is there a way to have them both running without switches so I could use them at the same time? My soldering is fine, but knowledge in electronics isn't the greatest. Sorry I posted this here but it seemed to be the most appropiate forum where I could get the proper response.
