Can someone tell me what hard drive interfaces are compatible with the Xbox (ie. SATA, ultra ata 100/133, serial ata, ect.) thanks

IDE interface is what is used in an XBOX

Also its ATA/33, but i have a ATA/166 cable and it works fine if anything my dvd drive is hella faster

ok, will i see a performance upgrade if i buy a ultra ata 133 versus the slower ata 100?

I dont think you will but since they are around the same price it shouldnt matter :)

Thanks for the help, now to find a good one, i checked the compatability chart and there are so many, any brand you reccomend, im looking for a 120gb, and one that is real quite. a friend had a WD caviar and that thing made alot of noise, not when accessing but when it was on(sounds like a loud pc case fan)

I use only maxtor. Some people say they are lowd but I never notice it since the game is alot lowder then most hdd. look on newegg.com they have good prices and fast cheap shipping :)
