Hi All
Please excuse my absolute newbie knowledge (no seriously its bad).
I want to make my 360 be able to play region 2 dvd's.
But i still want to ba able to game online.
Will any mods effect my standing with MS (them)
I need the real idiots guide on how to do it
Thanks for taking the time to read my thread, any help appreciated

I don't think its possible (unless it's in-cluded in Samsung firmware hack)

There is no way to remove region protection in the console itself.

Yea, there is no way to change the console to play different region dvds, and probably won't be until its modded. Although if you own the dvd you can make a back-up and remove the region lock.

Don't confuse the issues... As has been said there is no way to play different region DVD's on your console.

There is no way to remove the region code from any backup DVD.

Not strictly true. (can be made region free)
The DVD backup can be made region free using DVDShrink etc.

 Don't ask me if this would allow it to play in the 360 I only ever tried with my NTSC ones from the states on my region locked standalone player.
This does not change the video standard at all only the region lock.
